is ice hockey is played on ice while roller
hockey on asphalt or plastic. But the rules
in ice/roller hockey often differ a bit.
For instance in roller hockey there is generall
no checking, both both ice/roller hockey
are very physical sports and there is a
high risk of injury in ice/roller hockey
despite all the protective equipment.
